Each September, a classic car race takes place in the French town of Angoulême on a street circuit unchanged in layout since it first hosted an event in 1939. There is an eclectic selection of cars but as its France there are often 20 or more Bugattis racing around the narrow streets of the old walled town. In 2009 Angouleme celebrated its 70th anniversary of the "Circuit des Remparts "and Sir Jackie Stewart, Alain Prost and Henri Pescarolo were special guests.
